Merry Christmas to you.

Merry Christmas everybody! I got to talk to my brother today!!! He told us when people find out he is from Mississippi they immediately spell it for him to impress him with their incredible spelling ability. He also said that while Seattle has the reputation for a lot of rain mostly is is a mist. He said if it actually rains for real a little everybody is like " OMG its really coming down!' To which he says " speak not of what ye know not" Anyways so this mist they have in Seattle they call " Seattle Spit" which is probably the grossest thing Ive heard in a while. YUCK. Despite that nastyness getting to talk to him made my day. Elise even talked to him for a second and said ' nafen! Hi FIVE!" and then hi fived the phone. I think that made his day. ( she is on a hi five kick, she wouldn't sit in Santa's lap but hi fived him insead)
IN other news! My husband got me a new wedding and engagement ring for Christmas! Its 1.3 carats and I feel like I have sprung my finger its so heavy. He wrote me a letter to go with my ring and had it engraved in the inside that says "past, present, future" Its beautiful and he did an amazing job, so needless to say I am most happy.
Elise got some "momo" shoes (elmo house shoes) she got some horseys which she has hardly put down some snow white and the seven dwarf action figures which she keeps calling "snowy white" a blues clues video which she has watched 3 times already and thats just a few things. I enjoyed wathcing Elise open her presents the best. She got so excited about everything. Especially the horses she got, she is on a horse kick now for some reason. Anyways we are about to go watch Angels and Demons which I got my mom for Christmas! Merry Christmas all!

Anniversary review

So our anniversary was pretty nice, Josh told me in his "romantic speech" that I requested which was only a sentence that " I love you more than steak" wow well for him that is a big deal, guess thats the best I can expect I didnt marry a poet. lol I got yellow roses my favorite, without having to ask for them. As my dad says Im training him, it takes time but he is getting it right.
I have no new funny Elise stories since i havent been around her. But Im sure I will before long.

Anniversary

So tomorrow is Josh and my 3 year wedding anniversary. I know for those people who have been married 25 and 30 years that isnt impressive but this is Josh we are talking about. lol ok seriously he isnt that bad or I wouldnt have put up with him this long. He is there for me when I need him and thats what counts. So tomorrow we have a whole day to spend without having to take care of Elise or go to school. This is something that NEVER happens. So this is exciting. Although neither of us have got anything for the other time just snuck up on us. Maybe I will get something better than a some flowers in the hatch of his car after he has put the bikes on and I have to climb over the back seat to get my own half wilted flowers like our first year. lol He is getting better in time. And I love him regardless. He tries bless him.

Every Color

So I work with this guy named Reese. He is really nice and kind and a great guy all around. He is also black. The other day Josh brought Elise up to the store to show me some stuff that he wanted to christmas. I was holding Elise and she kept wanted to play with Reese and reaching out for him and playing peekaboo and whatnot. She suddenly stopped and pointed to Reese and said " mommy, is a bwown one" ( brown one) both Reese and Jeremy ( also black ) froze with their mouths open. HORRIFIED! I am sooooooo glad she did that to someone who I knew and NOT some random person in public. Everybody was like " your baby is racist!" Reese said " Oh no she isnt! That is silly, she is two years old and she is making a color observation. and I am, in fact brown" lol
I told one of my managers about it today and he was like " you know when you hear this story your first reaction is to be like "what are they teaching this kid?!" then when you think about it you realize nobody is sitting at home going " #$%^ those BROWN people" and this is just an innocent kid making an observation." I thought this was hilarious and thought you all would enjoy it too.

Update on Nathan

I thought I would tell you about my brother. He has been out on his mission 6 months now and has 6 baptisms under his belt. I dunno about you, and maybe im biased and what not but I think that is pretty impressive. He also has told me that he was wondering what everbody was talking about when it comes to how much rain washington state gets but as soon as it started to get cold it rains constantly and that he expects to see a member of the Cullen family the sun hasnt been out hardly at all. Anyways I know this is short and much more boring that usual but I have to go to class now.

Chwismas twee

Yesterday we starting trying to put up Christmas stuff. Last year my mom bough Elise a little "precious moments" nativity scene. I put it up for her in the normal formation. She didnt like it and rearranged them all. I kept trying to tell her this is baby Jesus and this is Mary and Joseph etc. But she kept just saying " id da baby, id got pajamas, id got a pillow" then after inspecting one of the wise men closely and noticing the shape of the box that his gift was in she told me that "he got twesure" Then the next time I asked he had a mailbox. This particular wise man was also described to me by my toddler as " dis one bwown" lol Her daddy is worried about that continuting in her assesment of actual humans and not porcelin figurines. In this nativity scene Joseph has a latern on a stick. As much as I tell her other wise she is determined that that lantern is a bird house. As Josh put the Christmas tree up she kept exclaiming " id a cwismas twee!" And because I thought that was so cute i asked her again what it was and she said ' id a twee!" then I asked her which kind of tree and she sat and thought for a min and then said " id a gween twee!" lol This kid says something hilarioius everday. Over the weekend Elise and I went with my dad to Tupelo to see his parents. On the way back we went through a McDonalds drive through to get some grub. Elise kept hollering " pway pway pway mommy!" When I told her there was no place to "pway" at this McDonalds she said "pway, outside mommy" like " DUH!" lol Anyways I have to go to class now hope you enjoyed my funny baby stories.

Happy Thanxgiving

Today we went to Josh's cousins house for lunch and she has some horses there. His other cousin took Elise out and put her on one of the horses. She was freaked out but then when we tried to take her off she was soooo mad and kept crying and wanting to "wide da horsey!" She is now crying "moooommy moooommy!" cause her daddy is trying to get her to eat. She is such a tortured baby that her parents try to feed her on a regular basis. Horribly tortured child. Anyways Everyone have a happy thanxgiving!!!!

silly kid

So the other day I was giving Elise a bath, and she is facinated with belly buttons. I was in the tub with her and she was pointing to my belly button and said " is mommys!" then at her own and said " is Ewises" then she whispered " mommy, is scared" while pointed to her belly button, she then squished it between her fingers to make it disappear. She then said " Der! Is hidin!" lol I thought it was hilarious. So I laughed and laughed and then she started laughing with me because I guess she decided that was the popular thing to do.
Josh told me a story about Elise, yesterday, she had a diaper issue, lets just say it was "overcrowded" and caused some to escape down her leg, she ran to her daddy and said in an upset voice " daddy! daddy! is scawy!' To which as he told me the story he said " and you have no idea how right she was! It was VERY scary, its a good thing I love her so much otherwise I wouldnt be able to do it" I was lucky enough to be in the shower during this situation. lol

Gone Gone

Today I worked, I have class in about 20 min. But I thought I would comment on my day. I had to be at work at 8:45 this morning and while that doesnt seem early, I had to get myself ready then get my baby up and ready and when you wake her up in the morning she becomes attatched to you and doesnt want to let you go, so its hard to do ANYTHING after she is awake. Then I had to drive the 20 miles to my mother in laws so she could watch Elise before driving another 16 to work. So I had to be up pretty early. (If I were willing to let people see me without make up all day I could have slept an extra 10 min but that wasnt worth it) So early this morning when I was having to haul Elise around the house on my hip because she had a death grip on me I went into my room to get something. She relaxed one side of the death grip and pointed at the bed and said "mommy, ders da bed, get in it" Like " mother why the heck are we up so early there is a perfectly good bed right there lets do that instead" lol Very tempting offer let me tell you. Then on the way to my in laws house I heard a commentary from the back seat of EVERTHING we passed. " mommy, a house, gone gone house, mommy cows! MOO! gone gone cows," She saw some goats and didnt know what they were she thought they were dogs at first and I had to tell her no those are goats then she started talking about them, then a horse. Then everything was "gone gone" It is so interesting to see the world through her eyes. Half the time the things that Elise sees I have to look hard to find them. She is SOOOO observent. She doesnt miss a THING. Anyways I ment to talk more about other things in my day that arent revolving around a toddler but I suspect that a toddler story is more entertaining. I think only Danielle, Aunt Kathy, Aunt Nancy and my mother read this thing anyway. Gotta go to class now

Taking after Uncle Nathan

I think Elise takes after her uncle Nathan. If you didnt know Nathans favorite food on the face of the planet is anything Asian. He is always cooking asian food. Elise's favorite food is "miiilk!" She doesnt want to eat. Of course she likes the usual cookies and she likes "baples" ( apples) and eggs for breakfast, but as in just eating a meal to be eating NO! Yesterday Josh and I decided we wanted to eat Chineese. That kid ate half my plate before I could. She ate all her green beans and kept telling me how good they were and all the rice off my plate and off of Josh's. So now I know if I want her to eat to feed her chineese food! I feel I have made a parenting break through. As I think about this breakthrough though I realize that while I was pregnant with her that I craved Chineese food all the time so maybe this shouldnt suprise me so much. Also weird though because I hated Asian food as a kid. Well I have homework to do so gotta leave it at that.

New moon

Also.... NEW MOON COMES OUT FRIDAY! I AM SOOOOOO SUPER EXCITED!

The story behind Adventures with Cows

The reason I've named my blog adventures with cows is sort of a long story but mildly entertaining. So I figured I would share it. You may or maynot know that I have worked at Best buy for what seems like forever. A few years ago it snowed. This is not a very common problem that we have in Mississippi. In fact it is miraculous that it has happened once a year the past like 3 years. SO up until the last year or so my inlaws had cows that were ajacent to where I live. When it snowed my husband told them not to bother coming up to feed the cows ( since they couldnt eat the grass under the snow) So we tried to feed them. Problem is we went out to do this is a 2005 Ford Focus. This is not a car made for farm work. We got stuck and I had to call into work because I got stuck in the snow trying to feed the cows. My boss Randy wasnt even mad at me because he thought my excuse was the funniest thing ever. Infact he still thinks this and teases me about it. He told me when he heard I was blogging to name it Adventures with Cows. SO in a moment of being braindead on what else to call it, I decided why not? Even though he isnt even my boss anymore I am still doing what he says. lol Old habits die hard. Anyways so when I finally came into work several hours late EVERYONE "mooed" at me all day. It was a wonderful experiance and one I have yet to live down obviously. Maybe you found this story entertaining. I did feel the need to explain myself.

Doll Soup

Loosing your voice sux. Also I swear I have blown my nose 200 times today and still keep soiling my tissues. I dunno where my brain has any room to hangout. Elise just tried to drown her dolls in my soup. Now im not big on cooking but even I know that dolls dont belong in soup. Looks like she will take after me. *sigh*

Depth of knowledge, eggs, and inside

Does anyone know what exactly "Depth of Knowledge" is? I have to know this for my class and I cant find a deffinition anywhere. I found a chart which has made me a little better than clueless but still not where I want to be.
This morning after I made Elise some eggs there was steam coming from them cause I had just gotten them off the stove and she kept saying "mommy, I catch it! mommy you catch it" and trying to catch the steam. It was so sweet and hilarious. But I had to tell her that babies and not even mommies can catch the steam and it was just going to have to get away. She also got jumped on by the neighbors dog today who while on his hind legs is as tall as she is. This experiance freaked her out and she cried and cried then told me "mommy, ets go inside" Which is the first time that has ever happened in the history of the world. My child LOVES outside and especially loves it when there are puppies to play with which there are. Poor baby. Anyways gotta go do some homework.

sick and such

So Elise was sick because my mom and dad were sick and now Josh and I are sick. We both went to work today sick and now im waiting for my night class to start also sick. One of my friends at work gave me a hug and said I was way hot running a fever. HORRAY! I I dont have time to be sick. My dad used to say that all the time when I was a little kid and I never understood it until now. lol In other news I had my first "Elem art for teachers" class of whatever it is and I had no idea what my teacher was talking about. Im out of my comfort area for sure now. Anyways my computer battery is about to die and I cant go plug it in cause im waiting for my friend to interview the leut governer on the radio so this wiill have to be it. l8r

Last night my mother and I made the treck to Jackson to have my sister, Mysti work on our hair. My hair was almost to my waist and I ended up getting like 4 and a half inches cut off. I now feel naked. On the way there we passed through a town that had a sulfer like smell and Elise said "mommy pooey pooey poo poo" and kept breating in and out of her nose really quickly. lol both going and coming back. The other day Elise and I were out and about running errands and there was a little bitty baby that kept crying and Elise said "BABY! Thats enough!" Everybody within hearing thought it was hilarious. And so I am brain dead and that is all I can think of to say now. Maybe next time It will be more entertaining.

working out

So my husband, Josh, has been on this recent kick of riding like 30 miles a day on his bike. I have been on the recent kick of laying around when I have a spare minute. So now he is in better shape than me. My only exercise has been to run up 3 flights of stairs for my dreaded English class that Im always almost late for. My dear brother Nathan bought me a Wii Fit last year for Christmas that I quit doing in January because I was so over whelmed with school. So last week I decided to get back into doing the Wii Fit. You may or maynot know but on a Wii there are little characters that represent you called your Mii. My child loves to watch me do Wii fit because she loves the mii. There is a game that is a ski jump and that is her favorite to watch because there is snow and she just gets the biggest kick out of all the appause of the "croud" after each jump. She claps along and yells "yeah!"
So there is another exercise called the "jackknife." This exercise involves laying flat on your back and at the whistle raising both your shoulders and feet into a V shape and then lowering it. As I was doing this exercise yesterday Elise kept saying " mommy wad you dooin?" She finally came and layed down next to me and was raising her little fat feet up in the air when I did except her knees were all bent and it was just the funniest thing! As if doing that exercise wasnt hard enough WITHOUT a toddler trying to do with with me and me laughing through it. I wish Josh had been there to take a picture. Maybe I can get her to do it again with me when he is home and I'll get a picture.
Tonight is my New Testament final. I know what you are thinking "wow a religion class, you have been going to church every week of your life, you should be able to sleep through that" WRONG! There are all kinds of who wrote this book where?Where were they when they wrote it? Was it written before this other book? What year was it written in? Hopefully I'll be able to remember all that. Pray for me.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

So I decided to start doing this whole blog thing because I was reading my cousin Danielle's blog and everytime I read it I feel like I'm about to pass out im laughing so hard. Now while there is no way that I could ever be as hilarious and clever as her I thought why not get some stuff off my chest and my other cousin Stephanie has asked me several times when im going to get a blog. So here it is.
I just handed in my 3rd and final "big" paper for this English class that I had to take. I can not even describe to you the incredible amount of relief associated with that. This time next week I will be totally done with this class. I already told Josh that we are either throwing a party to celebrate or we are going out to eat or something. So this class is supposed to be a freshman level class that I SOMEHOW missed. This proffessor at one point wanted 9 papers due in 4 day. This is for one class. How retarded.
In other news my child has the concept of the whole potty thing down. Today she took her diaper off and sat on the potty, she then pointed to the actual toilet and said "Mommy's potty" then pointed at her potty chair and said " Ewise's potty" but she still hasnt figured out the technical side to it I guess. She also has decided to "ride' her stuffed horse around the house but will stop long enough to say "cheese" as we take pictures. I'll put them on here when I get my camera they are pretty funny.
I recently bought her the movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. She LOVES Dopey, but he isnt dopey he is "baby' no matter how many times I tell her that his name is dopey she still calls him baby. She also loves the song "hi ho!" which she calls "Heee ho!' Yesterday that movie was playing in her room and right before this song came on she ran across the house to her room yelling " hee ho hee ho! hurry hurry" cause she didnt want to miss the song. It was hilarious. Anyways it is now time to go and study for this final I have tonight, perhaps in time my posts will be less boring and more orginized. lol
