The story behind Adventures with Cows
The reason I've named my blog adventures with cows is sort of a long story but mildly entertaining. So I figured I would share it. You may or maynot know that I have worked at Best buy for what seems like forever. A few years ago it snowed. This is not a very common problem that we have in Mississippi. In fact it is miraculous that it has happened once a year the past like 3 years. SO up until the last year or so my inlaws had cows that were ajacent to where I live. When it snowed my husband told them not to bother coming up to feed the cows ( since they couldnt eat the grass under the snow) So we tried to feed them. Problem is we went out to do this is a 2005 Ford Focus. This is not a car made for farm work. We got stuck and I had to call into work because I got stuck in the snow trying to feed the cows. My boss Randy wasnt even mad at me because he thought my excuse was the funniest thing ever. Infact he still thinks this and teases me about it. He told me when he heard I was blogging to name it Adventures with Cows. SO in a moment of being braindead on what else to call it, I decided why not? Even though he isnt even my boss anymore I am still doing what he says. lol Old habits die hard. Anyways so when I finally came into work several hours late EVERYONE "mooed" at me all day. It was a wonderful experiance and one I have yet to live down obviously. Maybe you found this story entertaining. I did feel the need to explain myself.

I had no idea, Nancy, that you were such an agriculturalist! I was just talking to Mother about cows when we went with George to see some people about cows being taken to market the next day. I admitted to her that I knew absolutely nothing about cows or ANYTHING agriculture wise. So you are one up on me for sure! It was a fun story to read! Thanks for sharing, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteI knew absolutly nothing about cows until I started dating Josh. Now I know more than I will ever use again. lol
